Julianne Nicholson (born July 1, 1971) is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in movies like August: Osage County (2013) and I, Tonya (2017). She has also starred in popular TV shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2006–2009) and Mare of Easttown (2021). For her role in Mare of Easttown, she won a Primetime Emmy Award, which is a very important award for television actors.

Julianne has also appeared in other notable projects like Tully (2000), Ally McBeal (2001–2002), Kinsey (2004), Boardwalk Empire (2011–2013), and Togo (2019).

Early Life and Education

Julianne Nicholson was born on July 1, 1971. When she was young, her parents separated. She lived with her mother and stepfather in western Massachusetts. She once described this time as a "different way of living" because they used kerosene lanterns and a water pump.

At age 11, she moved to live with her father. When she was 18, Julianne moved to New York City. There, she studied French and anthropology at Hunter College.
