Julius Fogle was born on December 2, 1971. He is an American former professional boxer. Before becoming a boxer, he served in the United States Army for 20 years. After his time in the military and boxing, he started new careers. He became a stand-up comedian and an author. His book, "The Last Round," tells his life story.

Julius Fogle's Boxing Journey
Julius Fogle had a very successful start in boxing. He was an amateur boxer for many years.
His Early Boxing Days
Fogle won many important titles as an amateur. In 2002, he won the national amateur middleweight championship. He also won the United States Challenge that same year. He was a two-time champion in the National Police Athletic League. He won this title in 1997 and 2000.
He tried out for the Olympics twice. He qualified for the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Trials. He was a seven-time gold medalist for the All-Army and Armed Forces teams. In 1997, he won a bronze medal at the World Military Games. He also won the first National Ringside Tournament in 2001. In 2003, he earned a silver medal in the Pan Am Games Qualifier.
Fogle also won three State and Regional Golden Gloves gold medals. He won a silver medal in 1998 and a bronze in 1999 at the National Golden Gloves. During his amateur career, he fought against famous boxers. These included Jermain Taylor, Jeff Lacy, and Andre Ward.
Becoming a Professional Boxer
Julius Fogle became a professional boxer in 2004. He started in the light heavyweight division. In December 2005, he won a smaller championship. This was the International Boxing Council Americas Super Middleweight title. He won by knocking out Isaiah Henderson in two rounds. After this, he moved up to the light heavyweight weight class.
His last professional boxing match was in 2013. He finished his career with 16 wins and 10 losses. In one of his final fights, he faced Sergei "Krusher" Kovalev. Fogle lost that fight in the second round by TKO (Technical Knockout).
