Jump is a small, unnamed community located in Hardin County, Ohio, within the state of Ohio in the United States. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's usually part of a larger county.

A Look Back at Jump

Jump might be a small place today, but it has its own interesting history! In 1892, a post office was opened there. A post office was a very important place back then, as it was how people sent and received letters and packages. It also helped connect the community to the outside world. This post office served the people of Jump for about nine years, closing in 1901.

Jump also once had its own schoolhouse. Having a school meant that children in the area could get their education right in their own community, which was very important for the growth and development of the settlement.
