Jun Ando (安藤 淳, Andō Jun, born 8 October 1984 in Shiga) is a retired Japanese footballer. He played as a centre back or a defensive midfielder. He last played for Kyoto Sanga FC before he stopped playing professionally.

Jun Ando's Football Journey

Jun Ando had a long and exciting career playing football in Japan. He spent more than ten years playing in the J. League, which is Japan's professional football league.

Starting Out in Football

Jun Ando started his journey in football by playing for his high school team, Shizuoka Gakuen High School. After that, he played for Kansai University from 2003 to 2006. These years helped him get ready for professional football.

Playing for Kyoto Sanga

Jun Ando joined Kyoto Sanga FC in 2007. This was his first professional team. He played for Kyoto Sanga for many years, from 2007 to 2013. He was a very important player for the team during this time. He even helped them reach the final of the Emperor's Cup in 2011.

Moving to Other Teams

After his time at Kyoto Sanga, Jun Ando played for other teams. He joined Cerezo Osaka in 2014 and played there until 2015. Then, he moved to Matsumoto Yamaga and played for them from 2015 to 2017. In 2018, he played for Ehime FC.

Returning to Kyoto Sanga

In 2019, Jun Ando returned to his former club, Kyoto Sanga FC. He played for them for two more seasons. He continued to be a strong player for the team.

Retirement from Football

Jun Ando decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2020 season. He had a great career that lasted over a decade in the J. League.
