Her Life and Musical Journey
Early Life and Education
Junko Mori was born in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. She loved music from a young age. She went to a special school called the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. This is a very famous university for artists and musicians.
She earned her first degree in music in 1971. She then continued to study how to compose music. Her teachers were famous composers like Tomojiro Ikenouchi, Akio Yashiro, and Teizo Matsumura. She earned a master's degree in composition in 1975. Later, in 1978, she got another master's degree. This one was in music history (musicology) and ear training (solfeggio). After finishing her studies, she became a music teacher and a composer.
