Starting His Football Journey
Junya Hosokawa was born in Kōnosu, Saitama, Japan, on June 24, 1984. He began his football career playing for Sendai University from 2003 to 2006. This was where he developed his skills before becoming a professional player.
Playing for Vegalta Sendai
Hosokawa joined his first professional club, Vegalta Sendai, in 2006. He played for this team until 2011. During his time there, he mostly played in the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football division. He helped the team in a few matches.

In 2012, Junya Hosokawa moved to Mito HollyHock. This was where he played most of his professional games. He stayed with Mito HollyHock for many years, from 2012 to 2021.
