Jupiter is a small place in the northwestern part of Buncombe County, North Carolina, in the United States. It's not an official town or city with its own local government. This kind of place is called an "unincorporated community."
You can find Jupiter near some important roads, including U.S. Highway 25, U.S. Highway 70, and Interstate 26.
Jupiter used to be an official town, but it stopped being one in 1970. This means it was "disincorporated." The area is located quite high up, about 2,175 feet (663 m) (which is about 663 meters) above sea level.
