Jennifer Justine Musk (born Wilson on September 2, 1972) is a Canadian author. She is known for writing fantasy novels. She was married to businessman Elon Musk.

Early Life and Education

Jennifer "Justine" Wilson was born on September 2, 1972. Her hometown is Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. She was the older of two children. Justine loved reading and writing from a young age. She always wanted to be a writer.

When she was in high school, Justine spent a year in Wagga Wagga, Australia. She went there as an exchange student. After returning to Canada in 1990, she joined a Taekwondo school. She even earned a black belt!

Justine then went to Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. She studied English literature there. This is where she met Elon Musk.

Her Writing Career

After university, Justine Wilson moved to Japan. She taught English to people who spoke other languages. Later, she moved to California.

Justine Wilson is a published author. Her first fantasy novel, BloodAngel, came out in 2005. It was published by Roc Books, which is part of Penguin Books. Her second book, Uninvited, was released in 2007. This book was written for young adults. A follow-up to BloodAngel, called Lord of Bones, was published in 2008.

Justine Wilson was one of the first authors to use websites like Pinterest. She used it to help plan her novels. In an interview from 2007, she talked about authors who inspired her. These included Margaret Atwood and Neil Gaiman. She also said her books mix different types of stories.

Her Family Life

Justine Wilson and Elon Musk started dating around 1992. They got married in January 2000. Their first child was born in 2002. Sadly, their child passed away at a very young age.

Later, they had twins in 2004. They also had triplet boys in 2006. These children were born with the help of a special medical procedure. On September 13, 2008, Justine announced that she and Musk were getting a divorce. They decided to share custody of their children.

Justine later wrote about some challenges in her marriage. She said she kept the last name Musk for the sake of their children. In 2022, one of their twins, Vivian, officially changed her name. She took her mother's last name, Wilson. This was to reflect her identity and because she no longer wanted to be connected with her father.
