Jutta Kleinschmidt (born August 29, 1962) is a famous German racer. She is known for competing in exciting offroad races. These races involve driving cars or motorcycles over very tough, natural terrain. Jutta is especially famous for her many times competing in the Dakar Rally. She made history in 2001 by winning this tough race. She was the first woman driver ever to win it. She was also the only German to win the car category. In 2013, Jutta was given a special award called an FIM Legend for her amazing achievements in motorcycle racing.

Jutta Kleinschmidt was born in Cologne, Germany. She grew up in a beautiful area called Berchtesgaden. She went to college and studied physics. After her studies, she worked for the car company BMW.
Jutta started her racing career on two wheels. She first raced in the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1988 on a BMW motorcycle. This race is known for being incredibly long and challenging. It takes racers across deserts and very rough landscapes.
In 1994, Jutta decided to switch from motorcycles to cars. She quickly showed her talent in car racing. In 1997, she became the first woman to win a single stage of the Dakar Rally. This was a big step! The next year, she finished among the top three racers. Then, in 2001, she achieved her biggest dream. She became the first woman to win the entire Dakar Rally.
