Kagagi (also known as Kagagi: The Raven) is an exciting Canadian animated TV show. It's made with CGI (that's computer graphics!) and was produced by Arcana Studio. The series is based on a comic book series called Kagagi: The Raven by Jay Odjick. It first aired on APTN Kids on October 5, 2014.

Meet the Characters of Kagagi

The show features a cool cast of characters, each with a special role. The voices for the characters are done in both Algonquin and English.

  • Matthew Carver: He's the main hero! Matthew is a teen boy who can transform into the powerful superhero, Kagagi. He's voiced by River Tanasco (Algonquin) and Eric Wilson (English).
  • Tommy Wetzel: Matt's loyal best friend. He's voiced by Jay Odjick (Algonquin) and Jean Francois Lovenge (English).
  • Cassie Shannon: She's Matt's friend and love interest. Stephanie Tenasco (Algonquin) and Gracie Dove (English) provide her voice.
  • Wisakedjak: This wise character is Matt's mentor. He was the previous Kagagi and guides Matt. He's voiced by Crazy Horse Commonda (Algonquin) and Ron Dean Harris (English).
  • Nigig: A small helper who works with Wisakedjak. Fred McGregor (Algonquin) and Dustin Elkin (English) voice him.
  • Eric Kavanaugh: The school bully, voiced by Joel Odjick (Algonquin) and Jack Anderson (English).
  • Janet Carver: Matt's mom, voiced by Annette Smith (Algonquin) and Linsey Willier (English).
  • Windigo: This character is the main villain of the series. Jay Odjick (Algonquin) and Tyler Nicol (English) voice the Windigo.
  • Appolyon: Another villain in the show, voiced by Jay Odjick (Algonquin) and Dan Zachary (English).
  • Tori Isaacs: She helps Matt on his adventures. Misty Whiteduck (Algonquin) and Willa-Lee Reid (English) voice Tori.

Music and Sounds of Kagagi

The music in Kagagi helps make the show exciting! The main theme song is "Electric PowWow Drum." This powerful song is by a group called A Tribe Called Red, who are known for their unique "native warrior music." You'll hear other songs from them throughout the series too. Original music for the show was also created by Lance Cote.
