History of the Name
The name Kangarli comes from an old Turkic tribe. This tribe was very important in history. They even founded their own state, called the Kangarli Khanate. The capital city of this khanate was Maku, which is now in modern-day Iran. The name Kangarli connects the region to this rich historical background.
