Kareem Waris Olamilekan, also known as Waspa, is a super talented young artist from Nigeria. He's known for his amazing hyperrealism art. This means his drawings look so real, they're almost like photos! Kareem is considered an art prodigy because he's so skilled at such a young age.
Meet the Young Artist: Kareem Waris Olamilekan
Kareem was born in Nigeria around 2006 or 2007. He lives in a big city called Lagos. He goes to the Ayowole Academy of Art, where he learns and practices his incredible drawing skills. Kareem started drawing when he was just 6 years old!
A really cool moment happened on July 3, 2018. In just two hours, Kareem drew an incredibly realistic picture of the French President, Emmanuel Macron. This happened when President Macron visited the Fela Kuti's New Africa Shrine in Lagos.
President Macron was so impressed by Kareem's artwork. He even shared a short video of the young artist drawing on his social media! Because of this, Kareem's amazing art has become famous all around the world.
