Career Journey
Starting as a Model
Karina Jelinek was born in Villa María, a city in the Córdoba region of Argentina. She started her modeling career when she was just 16 years old.
Early in her career, she won two beauty pageants, becoming Miss Córdoba Province and Miss Villa Carlos Paz. When she was 19, she moved to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, to find more opportunities. There, she became a successful model, taking part in big fashion shows and appearing in commercials. She also became a familiar face in popular magazines.
Becoming a TV Star
In 2004, Jelinek began appearing on television in the entertainment show No hay 2 sin 3. This was the start of her successful TV career.
A year later, in 2005, she joined the popular dance competition show Bailando por un sueño (Dancing for a Dream). She returned to the show several more times over the years, including in 2012 and 2014.
In 2020, she showed off her singing skills as a contestant on Cantando por un sueño (Singing for a Dream).
Personal Life
After dating for three months, Jelinek married Leonardo Fariña on April 28, 2011. The wedding took place in Buenos Aires. The couple separated in 2013.
In 2020, Jelinek shared that she was in a relationship with model Florencia Parise.
