Early Life and Start in Modeling
Karine Ferri was born with the name Karine Jalabert in Suresnes, France. Her father was French, and her mother was Portuguese. She grew up in Rueil-Malmaison with her older brother, David.
After finishing high school, Karine studied literature at university. She then began a career in modeling. In 1999, she was the first runner-up in the Miss World France 2000 competition.
Karine Ferri's TV Career
Karine Ferri started her television journey in 2004. She was a finalist on the second season of Bachelor, le gentleman célibataire. This was the French version of the show The Bachelor, shown on M6.
Early Hosting Roles
In the same year, she co-hosted a show called En direct avec les colocataires on M6. She also joined the team of C'est pas trop tôt !, where she talked about dating and life. For a few years, until 2008, she also presented the weather on M6.
Karine also hosted other shows on different channels. From 2006 to 2009, she presented programs like La Route en Direct and Star Six Music on M6. She also became the third presenter for the show Fan De.
Moving to New Channels
In 2010, the show Fan De moved to W9 and was renamed Fan de Stars. Karine hosted this show until July 2010. After that, she decided to leave M6 and W9.
She joined Direct 8 in September 2010. There, she hosted three new programs: Mademoiselle Cinéma, L'Amour au menu, and Ma Vie. The last one was a show about society.
From August 2010 to June 2011, Karine also worked on the radio. She joined NRJ and co-hosted the morning show Le 6/9 with Nikos Aliagas. In the summer of 2011, she hosted a daily show called Mag de l'été on Direct 8.
Joining TF1 and Popular Shows
In 2012, Karine Ferri joined TF1, one of France's biggest TV channels. She started co-hosting the second season of The Voice: la plus belle voix with Nikos Aliagas. She also presented other music-related shows like Toute la musique qu'on aime.
She also took over hosting Le Grand Bêtisier de l'été and Le Grand Bêtisier. These are popular shows that feature funny bloopers and clips. She also hosted Les Trente Histoires on TMC.
In October 2016, Karine became a contestant on the seventh season of Danse avec les stars on TF1. This is the French version of Dancing with the Stars. She made it to the semi-finals before being eliminated.
On December 31, 2016, she hosted Le Grand Bêtisier du 31. She also co-hosted a primetime episode of the eighth season of Danse avec les stars in November 2017. She hosted Le Grand Bêtisier du 31 again on December 31, 2017.
Karine Ferri's Family Life
Since 2011, Karine Ferri has been in a relationship with the famous football player Yoann Gourcuff. They got married in 2019.
On April 6, 2016, Karine gave birth to their first child, a boy named Maël. In March 2018, she announced she was expecting her second child. Their daughter, Claudia, was born on July 16, 2018.
