Behind the Scenes
Karkú was the first TV show of its kind for young people in Latin America. The name "Karkú" comes from a special language called Mapudungun. It means "to dare" or "to be brave." This name perfectly shows the spirit of the show's story.
The show was created by Onell López Campos and José Francisco García. They wanted the series to teach important lessons. It focuses on how teenagers grow up, especially in Latin America. The creators hoped to encourage viewers to be hardworking, work well in teams, and value friendship. Onell López Campos also made sure music was a big part of the show. He wanted music to be more than just background noise; it's a tool the characters use in their adventures.
