Early Life and Education

Karl Glusman was born in The Bronx, New York City. When he was six months old, his family moved to Portland, Oregon. He went to Lake Oswego High School. After high school, he studied at Portland State University for a year.

Karl wanted to become an actor. He took acting classes while in college. He also studied at the Portland Actors Conservatory. Later, he went to the William Esper Studio in New York City to continue his acting training.

Acting Career

Karl Glusman started his career by appearing in a TV commercial for Adidas. After this, he moved to France. There, a director named Gaspar Noé chose him for the main role in the movie Love.

Love was first shown at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. This event was very popular, with all 2,200 seats selling out. At the festival, Karl met film director Tom Ford. Tom Ford then cast him in the movie Nocturnal Animals (2016).

In the same year, 2016, Karl also appeared in the thriller movie The Neon Demon. Later, in 2020, he acted alongside Tom Hanks in the movie Greyhound.

Personal Life

In 2016, Karl Glusman started a relationship with actress Zoë Kravitz. They got engaged in February 2018. They were married on June 29, 2019, in Paris, France. The wedding took place at the home of Zoë's father, musician Lenny Kravitz.

Zoë Kravitz filed for divorce on December 23, 2020. Their divorce was finalized in August 2021.
