Karla Hart is a very creative Noongar woman from Western Australia. She is a writer, filmmaker, dancer, actress, and director. From 2011 to 2015, she helped organize the Wardarnji Festival, a big cultural event. Today, you can hear her as a presenter on Noongar Radio during the afternoon drive time in Perth.

Karla's Learning Journey
Karla Hart learned traditional Noongar dance from respected elders in her community. She also studied Aboriginal Theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Later, she earned a degree in Contemporary Performance from Edith Cowan University. This helped her become a skilled performer.
Karla's Creative Work
Karla Hart has done many exciting things in her career. She has acted and danced in plays, movies, and TV shows. She also writes her own plays and helps organize big events, like the Wardarnji Festival. She was a popular radio presenter for Noongar Radio and even won a national award for her work! Karla is also on the board of Yirra Yaakin Aboriginal Theatre Company, which is an important theatre group in Western Australia.
Family Rules TV Show
Karla is currently a co-executive producer and director for a new TV series called "Family Rules". This show is being made for NITV, a channel that shares Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories.
Kwarbah Djookian Dance Group
In 2004, Karla Hart started her own dance group called the Kwarbah Djookian Dance Group. She also performs with the group. They have performed at many large events both in Australia and around the world. They have shared their dances at festivals, schools, concerts, and other special gatherings.
