Kashmiri people facts for kids
The Kashmiri people (Kashmiri: کٲشُر, Koshur) are a Dardic ethnic group living in the central valley of Kashmir between Pakistan and India. They speak the Kashmiri language. Kashmiri is an Indo-Aryan language. The Kashmiri are also known as Koshur.
There are about 5.6 million people speaking the Kashmiri language. About 5.5 million of them live in Jammu and Kashmir, and about 100,000 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the Federally Administered Northern Areas (FANA) in Pakistan.
