She went to Trinity Hall, Cambridge for her university studies. There, she studied anthropology and philosophy. Philosophy is the study of basic ideas about knowledge, values, and how we live.
Her Work and Research
In 1989, Kate Fox became a co-director of MCM Research Ltd. She still offers advice and services through this company. Today, she is also a co-director of the Social Issues Research Centre. This center is located in Oxford, England.
Her work often involves observing people and understanding the unwritten rules of society. She helps people understand why we behave the way we do. Her book, Watching the English, explores many of these hidden rules in English culture.

In 2004, Kate Fox married Henry Marsh. He is a well-known neurosurgeon and author. Before this, she was married to Peter Kibby.
