Kate Klise (born April 13, 1963) is an American author who writes exciting books for kids. Her sister, M. Sarah Klise, often draws the pictures for her books. One of their most popular series is called Regarding. These books are special because they look like a scrapbook! They tell stories using letters, diary entries, and other cool bits of paper. Kate Klise also writes popular picture books and the bestselling 43 Old Cemetery Road series. She has written books for adults too, like In the Bag. About Kate Klise
Kate Klise was born on April 13, 1963. She was the fourth of six children. Her dad, Thomas Klise, made educational films. Her mom was Marjorie Klise. Kate grew up in Peoria, Illinois.
She went to Marquette University. For about 15 years, she worked as a writer for People magazine. Today, Kate lives on a farm in the Ozarks in Missouri. She enjoys writing and hiking.
Kate has said that famous author E. B. White (who wrote Charlotte's Web) was an important influence on her writing.
