Katherine Woodfine (born in 1983) is a British author who writes exciting books for children. She is famous for her series called The Sinclair's Mysteries. The first book in this series is The Mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow.

About Katherine Woodfine

Katherine Woodfine was born in Lancashire in 1983. She loved studying English at Bristol University. In 2005, she was praised in a writing competition by Vogue magazine. Today, Katherine lives in London.

Her first job was at a Waterstones bookshop in Lancaster. She later managed a bookshop and art gallery. This was at Cornerhouse in Manchester. She also worked for Arts Council England, focusing on literature.

Katherine spent six years at Booktrust. There, she helped manage the Children's Laureateship. This is a special award for children's authors. She also worked on other book prizes. One big project was YALC. This was the UK's first Young Adult Literature Convention. It was organized by the famous author Malorie Blackman.

Now, Katherine writes her own books. She also works on other children's book projects. She hosts a radio show and podcast called Down the Rabbit Hole. It's for Resonance FM and talks about children's books.

Katherine also writes a blog called Follow the Yellow. She has written for other books too. These include Mystery & Mayhem (2016) and Winter Magic (2016).
