Some of her most famous characters include Nadia in the TV series Dexter, Katrina Crane in Sleepy Hollow, and Gwen Karlsson in Blood & Treasure. Early Life
Katia Winter was born in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. After she finished high school, she decided to move to London, England. There, she studied acting at a special stage school to learn more about performing. Later, in the early 2010s, she moved to Los Angeles, California, in the United States, to continue her acting career.
Acting Career
Katia Winter started her acting journey by appearing in British TV shows and films. Some of her early works include the drama Unmade Beds in 2009 and Everywhere and Nowhere in 2011.
After moving to the U.S., she quickly landed a big role in the 2011 film Arena. In this movie, she starred alongside famous actors like Kellan Lutz and Samuel L. Jackson. She also played the main character in the independent film Love Sick Love (2012) and the thriller Banshee Chapter (2013).
In 2012, Katia appeared in an episode of the popular crime show NCIS. In the same year, she joined the cast of Dexter for its seventh season. She played the important recurring role of Nadia, a character who appeared in nine episodes.
From 2013 to 2015, Katia Winter became even more famous for her role as Katrina Crane in the Fox series Sleepy Hollow. This role lasted for 25 episodes and made her a familiar face to many viewers. In 2013, Katia Winter married a musician named Jesse Glick. They later separated in 2015 and officially divorced in 2016. In 2020, Katia moved back to Sweden with her British boyfriend. They now live in the peaceful countryside, a few hours north of Stockholm.
