Katsuhiro Minamoto (皆本 勝弘, Minamoto Katsuhiro, born 2 July 1972) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a midfielder for several teams during his career.

Early Career and Rise to J1 League
Katsuhiro Minamoto was born in Hiroshima, Japan, on July 2, 1972. After finishing high school, he began his professional football career in 1991. He joined a team called Yanmar Diesel, which later became known as Cerezo Osaka.
Minamoto quickly became an important player for his team. He often played as a defensive midfielder. This position means he helped protect his team's goal and stop the opposing team from scoring.
In 1994, his team, Cerezo Osaka, won a championship. This big win helped them get promoted to the J1 League in 1995. The J1 League is the top professional football league in Japan.
Playing in the Top League
Once in the J1 League, Katsuhiro Minamoto continued to be a regular player for Cerezo Osaka. He played many matches for the club. However, at the end of the 1997 season, he left the team.
In 1998, Minamoto moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. This was special for him because Sanfrecce Hiroshima was his local team, from his hometown. He wore the number 14 shirt for them.
Retirement from Professional Football
Katsuhiro Minamoto played for Sanfrecce Hiroshima for one season. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 1998 season. Throughout his career, he played a total of 198 games and scored 14 goals.
