Kayla Becker (born June 7, 1991) is an American sports broadcaster. She is well-known for her time working with WWE, a big professional wrestling company. There, she was a backstage interviewer and used the ring name Kayla Braxton.

Early Life and Education

Kayla Becker was born in Wadley, Alabama, on June 7, 1991. She had a challenging childhood. When she was nine years old, she went to live in a foster home.

As a teenager, Kayla was very good at public speaking. She often took part in competitions. She later went to Belmont University and earned a degree in broadcast journalism. This means she studied how to report news and host shows.

While in college, Kayla started making her own online videos. She also hosted some digital entertainment shows. These shows were for her school and for people around Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating, she quickly started hosting her own web and TV segments in Orlando, Florida.

Career in WWE

Joining WWE (2016)

In October 2016, Kayla Becker joined WWE. This is a famous company that puts on professional wrestling shows. When she joined, she was given the new name Kayla Braxton.

She made her first appearance on October 20, 2016. This was on a WWE show called NXT in Lakeland, Florida. She worked as a host and a ring announcer. A ring announcer introduces the wrestlers before their matches.

Becoming a Backstage Interviewer

Kayla Braxton first appeared on a big WWE event called a pay-per-view on May 21, 2017. This was at Backlash, where she worked as a backstage interviewer. Her job was to talk to the wrestlers behind the scenes.

She continued to interview wrestlers at many other major events. These included Battleground 2017, SummerSlam 2017, and Hell in a Cell 2017.

While she was still a ring announcer on NXT, Kayla also started appearing on other WWE shows. She worked on Raw, 205 Live, and SmackDown. On these shows, she was both a ring announcer and a backstage interviewer.

Moving to the Main Roster (2019)

On April 17, 2019, Kayla Braxton officially left NXT. She moved to WWE's main roster, which means she worked on the bigger shows full-time. Another announcer, Alicia Taylor, took her place on NXT.

After moving, Kayla became a regular backstage interviewer on SmackDown. She also became a co-host of a show called The Bump. This show talks about all the latest news and events in WWE.

Since August 22, 2020, Kayla has been the host of Talking Smack. This show was later renamed SmackDown LowDown. She hosted it alongside Paul Heyman, who is a well-known personality in WWE.

Leaving WWE (2024)

On June 22, 2024, Kayla Braxton announced that she would be leaving WWE. Her last show was the June 28 episode of SmackDown. On July 1, her profile was moved to the alumni section of WWE's website. This means she is now a former employee.
