Kazuhiko Chiba (千葉 和彦, Chiba Kazuhiko) is a Japanese professional football player. He was born on June 21, 1985. Chiba plays as a defender, which means his main job is to stop the other team from scoring goals. He currently plays for J1 League club Albirex Niigata.

Football Journey: Kazuhiko Chiba's Career
Kazuhiko Chiba started his football journey in the Netherlands. He played for AGOVV from 2004 to 2005. After that, he had a short time with Dordrecht in 2005.
Returning to Japan: Albirex Niigata
In 2005, Chiba moved back to Japan. He joined Albirex Niigata, a club in the J1 League. He played for Albirex Niigata for seven seasons, from 2005 to 2011. During this time, he became a key player for the team.
Success with Sanfrecce Hiroshima
Chiba then moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2012. This was a very successful period in his career. He helped Sanfrecce Hiroshima win the J1 League championship three times: in 2012, 2013, and 2015. He also won the Japanese Super Cup with them in 2013, 2014, and 2016. He played for Sanfrecce Hiroshima until 2018.
Time at Nagoya Grampus
After his successful time at Hiroshima, Chiba joined Nagoya Grampus in 2019. He played there for two seasons, until 2020.
Back to Albirex Niigata
On December 24, 2020, Kazuhiko Chiba returned to his former club, Albirex Niigata. He signed a new contract with them. He has continued to play for Albirex Niigata, extending his contract for the 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons. He is still an active player for the club.
National Team Appearances
Kazuhiko Chiba also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. He made one appearance for his country in 2013. He also helped Japan win the EAFF East Asian Cup in 2013.
