Kazushi Isoyama (磯山 和司, Isoyama Kazushi, born January 8, 1975) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which is a player who tries to score goals. He had a career that lasted over ten years, playing for several different clubs in Japan.

Playing Career Highlights

Kazushi Isoyama was born in Shimotsuma, Japan, on January 8, 1975. After finishing his studies at Rissho University, he began his professional football journey in 1997.

Early Career and Success

His first team was Brummell Sendai, which played in the Japan Football League (JFL). He didn't get to play much there. However, in August 1997, he moved to another JFL club called Otsuka Pharmaceutical. This move was a big step for him. He quickly became a key player, known for scoring many goals as a forward.

Moving Up to J2 League

In 1999, Isoyama joined Omiya Ardija. This team had just been promoted to the J2 League, which is a higher level of professional football in Japan. He played regularly for Omiya Ardija for a few years. However, his playing time became less in 2001.

Loan and Later Career

In July 2002, he went on loan to Consadole Sapporo, a team in the top division, the J1 League. He didn't play much there either. In 2003, he returned to Omiya Ardija.

In 2004, Isoyama moved to Mito HollyHock, another J2 League club. He played a lot of games for them over two seasons. Finally, in 2006, he joined Arte Takasaki in the Japan Football League. He played for them until he decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2007 season. Throughout his career, he played in 249 league games and scored 44 goals.
