Keesha Sharp (born on June 9, 1973) is an American actress and TV director. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows.
Keesha played Monica Charles Brooks in the comedy series Girlfriends from 2002 to 2008. For this role, she was nominated for an NAACP Image Award. She also appeared in movies like American Adobo (2002) and Why Did I Get Married? (2007). From 2010 to 2013, she co-starred in the TV show Are We There Yet?.
In 2016, Keesha played Dale Cochran in the drama series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. From 2016 to 2019, she starred as Trish Murtaugh in the police comedy-drama Lethal Weapon. This role earned her another NAACP Image Award nomination.

About Keesha Sharp's Life and Career
Keesha Sharp was born in Rochester, New York. She studied acting at The Boston Conservatory and graduated with honors. After college, Keesha started her career on stage.
Early Acting Roles
She performed in the Broadway show Carousel. She also acted in many Off-Broadway plays. These included Living in the Wind and Eat the Runt. Other theater roles were in Abyssinia and Aida.
Before moving to Los Angeles, Keesha appeared on TV shows. She was a guest star on Welcome to New York and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Becoming a TV Star
In 2002, Keesha got a big role in the comedy series Girlfriends. She played Monica, who was William Dent's girlfriend and later his wife. Her acting in Girlfriends earned her a nomination for an NAACP Image Award. The show finished in 2008.
From 2005 to 2006, she also had a recurring role. She played Sheila Ridenhour on the show Everybody Hates Chris. Keesha also acted in movies during this time. These films included Malibu's Most Wanted and Why Did I Get Married?.
Later TV and Movie Roles
After Girlfriends, Keesha continued to guest star on many shows. Some of these were The Game and Elementary. From 2010 to 2013, she was a main cast member. This was on the TBS sitcom Are We There Yet?.
In 2015, Keesha was cast as Dale Cochran. She played the wife of Johnnie Cochran in American Crime Story. In 2016, she joined the Fox series Lethal Weapon. She played Trish Murtaugh, starring alongside Damon Wayans Sr.. Later that year, she played Thurgood Marshall's wife. This was in the movie Marshall, starring Chadwick Boseman.
In 2018, Keesha got the rights to a book about Eartha Kitt. She plans to star as Eartha Kitt in a movie. She will also produce the film with her husband, Brad Sharp. In 2019, Keesha was cast in the final season of Empire. In 2022, she joined the show Power Book II: Ghost as a regular cast member.
