Keesha Ulricka Sharp, born on June 9, 1973, is an American actress and television director. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows. For example, she played Monica Charles Brooks in the comedy series Girlfriends from 2002 to 2008. This role earned her a nomination for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Keesha Sharp has also appeared in several movies, including American Adobo (2002) and Why Did I Get Married? (2007). From 2010 to 2013, she was a main cast member in the sitcom Are We There Yet?. In 2016, she played Dale Cochran in the drama series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. From 2016 to 2019, she starred as Trish Murtaugh in the police comedy-drama series Lethal Weapon, which also led to an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series nomination.

About Keesha Sharp
Keesha Sharp was born in Rochester, New York. She studied acting at The Boston Conservatory and graduated with honors. After college, she began her career performing in plays. She was part of the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and performed in many other theater productions.
Early Acting Roles
Before moving to Los Angeles, Keesha Sharp appeared as a guest star on several TV shows. These included Welcome to New York, Third Watch, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Becoming a TV Star
In 2002, Keesha Sharp got a big role in the comedy series Girlfriends. She played Monica, who was the girlfriend and later wife of William Dent. Her performance was highly praised, and she was nominated for an NAACP Image Award. The show finished in 2008.
From 2005 to 2006, she also had a recurring role as Sheila Ridenhour in the show Everybody Hates Chris. During this time, Keesha Sharp also appeared in films like Malibu's Most Wanted and Why Did I Get Married?.

In 2015, she was cast as Dale Cochran in the drama series American Crime Story. The next year, in 2016, she joined the cast of the Fox series Lethal Weapon. She played Trish Murtaugh, the wife of the main character. Also in 2016, she played Thurgood Marshall's wife, Vivian Burey, in the movie Marshall.
In 2018, Keesha Sharp gained the rights to a book about the famous singer and actress Eartha Kitt. She plans to star as Eartha Kitt and produce the movie with her husband. In 2019, Sharp was cast in the final season of the musical drama series Empire. More recently, in 2022, she joined the cast of Power Book II: Ghost for its third season.

Keesha Sharp is married to actor and singer-songwriter Brad Sharp. They got married on August 1, 1997. They have been together since high school and have a son named Solomon.
