Keiji Yoshimura (吉村 圭司, Yoshimura Keiji, born August 8, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He was a midfielder, which means he played in the middle of the field. His older brother, Koji, was also a football player. Keiji Yoshimura is known for playing many years with Nagoya Grampus, where he helped the team win a major championship.

Keiji Yoshimura's Football Journey

Keiji Yoshimura was born in Sakawa, Kochi, Japan, on August 8, 1979. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Aichi Gakuin University, he joined a big football club called Nagoya Grampus in 2002. This club plays in Japan's top league, the J1 League.

Becoming a Key Player

By 2003, Keiji became a regular player for Nagoya Grampus. He played as a defensive midfielder. This role means he helped protect his team's goal and also helped start attacks. He played in many matches for a long time, showing his skill and dedication.

Winning Championships

In 2009, Keiji and Nagoya Grampus had a great season. They reached the final of the Emperor's Cup, a big football tournament in Japan, and finished in second place.

The next year, 2010, was even better! Even though Keiji didn't play as much, his team, Nagoya Grampus, won the J1 League championship. This was a huge moment because it was the very first time in the club's history that they won the J1 League title!

Moving to Ehime FC and Retirement

In 2013, Keiji moved to Ehime FC. This club plays in the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest league. It was a special move for him because he had played for Ehime FC's youth team when he was younger. He continued to play as a defensive midfielder and appeared in many games.

However, in 2015, Keiji didn't get to play as often. At the end of the 2015 season, he decided to retire from professional football. He played a total of 247 league games and scored 8 goals in his career.
