Keita Kanemoto was born in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on July 13, 1977. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he joined his hometown club, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, in 1996.
He played as a defensive midfielder. This means his job was to protect the team's goal. He would often stop the other team's attacks. He played for Sanfrecce Hiroshima until 1998.
Playing for Oita Trinita
