Keita Kanemoto (born July 13, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a midfielder for several clubs in Japan during his career.

Keita Kanemoto's Football Journey

Keita Kanemoto was born in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on July 13, 1977. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he joined his hometown club, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, in 1996.

He played as a defensive midfielder. This means his job was to protect the team's goal. He would often stop the other team's attacks. He played for Sanfrecce Hiroshima until 1998.

Playing for Oita Trinita

In 1999, Keita Kanemoto moved to Oita Trinita. This club had just been promoted to the J2 League. He became a very important player for Oita Trinita. He played in many matches as a defensive midfielder.
