Keith DeWayne Lee (born December 28, 1962) is a former American professional basketball player. He was chosen by the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the 1985 NBA draft. He was the 11th player picked overall.
Keith Lee is 6 feet 10 inches tall and played as a forward or center. He played college basketball at Memphis State University. Later, he played in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers and New Jersey Nets.

High School Success
Keith Lee played high school basketball at West Memphis High School in West Memphis, Arkansas. His team in 1979–80 was amazing. They went undefeated with a perfect 30–0 record. Many people think they were the best high school basketball team in Arkansas history.
The next year, in 1980–81, his team also went undefeated. They set a state record for the longest winning streak in high school basketball. They won 60 games in a row!
College Career at Memphis
Keith Lee joined the University of Memphis team in 1981. He quickly became one of the most famous players in their history. During his four years there, the team won 104 games and lost only 24.
They made it to the NCAA tournament three times. One of those times, they reached the Final Four. Lee also helped his team win three Metro Conference titles. In 1984–85, they set a school record with 31 wins.
Awards and Records
Keith Lee was named an Associated Press All-American four times. He was the Metro Conference Player of the Year in both 1982 and 1985. He was also chosen for 29 different All-American teams.
He holds the record for the most points scored in Tigers history with 2,408 points. He also has the most rebounds with 1,336. Keith Lee was the first player from Memphis to be named an All-American four times. His jersey number, 24, was retired by the Memphis Tigers in 1985.
Professional Basketball Career
Keith Lee was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1985 NBA draft. His best year as a professional player was his first season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played in 58 games that year. He averaged 7.4 points per game.
In his entire NBA career, Keith Lee played in 182 games. He scored a total of 1,114 points. After his basketball career, Keith Lee went back to school. He earned a degree from the University of Memphis in December 2008. Today, he is a head basketball coach at a high school in Shelby County.
