Kendrick Sampson is an American actor and activist. He was born on March 8, 1988. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. These include The Vampire Diaries, Gracepoint, How to Get Away with Murder, The Flash, and Insecure.

Early Life and Acting Dreams
Kendrick Sampson grew up in Houston, Texas. His parents are Daphne Smith Sampson and Hoyle Sampson Sr. When he was a child, he took music lessons.
Sampson became interested in acting at age 10. This happened after he saw a commercial for the clothing store Gap. He found an agent and started taking acting classes. He also performed in theater plays while attending Elkins High School. Sampson is a devoted Christian.
Kendrick Sampson's Acting Career
Kendrick Sampson began his acting career in 2008. He appeared in two episodes of the TV show Greek. In 2010, he was in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Early TV Roles
In July 2013, Sampson got a recurring role on The Vampire Diaries. He played the character Jesse in the show's fifth season. In January 2014, he was cast as Dean Iverson in the miniseries Gracepoint.
In November 2014, Sampson appeared in a music video. It was for Hayley Kiyoko's song "This Side of Paradise." In early 2015, he filmed a pilot for a show called The Kingmakers. However, the show was not picked up by the network.
Major TV Appearances
In July 2015, Sampson joined the cast of How to Get Away with Murder. He played Caleb Hapstall in the second season. This show was produced by Shonda Rhimes.
From 2018 to 2021, Sampson had a recurring role on Insecure. He played the character Nathan Campbell. Sampson has also started his own production company. It is called Sampson Studios.
Activism and Community Work
Kendrick Sampson is also a strong activist. In May 2019, he started an organization called BLD PWR. This group works for new development, empowerment, and change. It focuses on helping groups that have been treated unfairly in American society.
After the murder of George Floyd, Sampson was very active. He helped organize and participated in Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles. During these protests, he reported that police officers shot rubber bullets at him. He also said they assaulted him. Sampson later called for a one-day strike in Hollywood. This was in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake.
In 2020, Sampson worked with an organization called JusticeLA. They created a public service announcement. It was called #SuingToSaveLives. This announcement was about the health of people in Los Angeles County Jails. It focused on concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
