Kenji Tochio (橡尾 健次, Tochio Kenji, born May 26, 1941) is a former Japanese soccer player. He was a defender, which means he helped protect his team's goal. Kenji Tochio also played for the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs
Kenji Tochio was born on May 26, 1941. After finishing high school, he joined a soccer team called Furukawa Electric SC. This team later became known as JEF United Chiba.
Joining the Japan Soccer League
In 1965, a new professional soccer league started in Japan. It was called the Japan Soccer League. Furukawa Electric SC became one of the first teams to join this exciting new league. Kenji Tochio played many games for them. He played 61 games and scored 1 goal in the league before he stopped playing in 1970.
Winning the Emperor's Cup
During his time with Furukawa Electric, Kenji Tochio helped his team win the Emperor's Cup several times. This is a very important soccer tournament in Japan. They won the cup in 1960, 1961, and 1964. They also reached the final in 1962 and 1967.
Playing for Japan's National Team
Kenji Tochio also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. This is often called the "Samurai Blue."
