Kennedy Rashod Meeks was born on February 5, 1995. He is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Hsinchu Toplus Lioneers in Taiwan. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the University of North Carolina. Kennedy is from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kennedy Meeks' High School Basketball
Kennedy went to West Charlotte High School. In his final year, he was a star player. He scored about 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds per game. He also blocked 3 shots per game. Because he was so good, he was chosen for the McDonald's All-America team in 2013. This is a special honor for top high school players.
Kennedy Meeks' College Career
Kennedy played college basketball for the University of North Carolina. He played for four years, from 2013 to 2017.
Freshman Year (2013–14)
As a first-year player, Kennedy did very well. He scored about 7.6 points and got 6.1 rebounds in each game. He was even named to the ACC All-Freshman team. This means he was one of the best new players in his conference. He worked hard to get stronger and healthier during the off-season.
Sophomore Year (2014–15)
In his second year, Kennedy continued to improve. He was recognized as an honorable mention All-ACC player. He was second on his team in scoring, with 11.6 points per game. He also led the team in rebounds, getting 7.4 rebounds per game. He hurt his left knee during a tournament game but came back strong.
Junior Year (2015–16)
During his third year, Kennedy had a great game against Temple University, scoring 25 points. He also scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in a win against NC State. He had another knee injury that kept him out for two weeks. When he returned, he helped his team reach the National Championship game. They played a very close game but lost at the last second.
Senior Year (2016–17)
In his final college year, Kennedy helped the Tar Heels reach the NCAA championship game again. This time, they won! He grabbed 10 rebounds in the final game against the Gonzaga Bulldogs, helping his team win 71–65. Kennedy also set a new school record for the most rebounds in the NCAA tournament. This was a huge achievement for him.
Kennedy Meeks' Professional Career
After college, Kennedy Meeks became a professional basketball player. He was not chosen in the 2017 NBA draft, but he still got a chance to play.
Raptors 905 (2017–2018)
Kennedy joined the Toronto Raptors for their Summer League team. He later played for their affiliate team, the Raptors 905, in the G League.
SeaHorses Mikawa (2018–2019)
In November 2018, Kennedy moved to Japan. He signed with the SeaHorses Mikawa team in the Japanese B.League.
Levanga Hokkaido (2019–2020)
In 2019, Kennedy played for the Charlotte Hornets in the Summer League. Later that year, he signed with another Japanese team, Levanga Hokkaido, also in the B.League.
Seoul Samsung Thunders (2020–2021)
In December 2020, Kennedy went to South Korea. He joined the Seoul Samsung Thunders in the Korean Basketball League (KBL). He even got to play with his former college teammate, Isaiah Hicks, there.
Cholet Basket (2021–2022)
In September 2021, Kennedy signed with Cholet Basket in France. This team plays in the LNB Pro A league.
Taoyuan Pauian Pilots (2023-2024)
In September 2023, Kennedy signed with the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots in Taiwan. They play in the P.League+.
Hsinchu Toplus Lioneers (2024-present)
On October 1, 2024, Kennedy signed with the Hsinchu Toplus Lioneers. This is his current team in the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL).
