A Look Back at Kennonsburg's History
Kennonsburg was started a long time ago, in the year 1846. Back then, many new communities were forming across Ohio.
A very important part of any community in those days was its post office. Kennonsburg got its own post office in 1849. This meant people could send and receive letters and packages right there. It was a big deal for connecting with the outside world. The post office served the community for many years, finally closing its doors in 1905.
