Kenny Selmon (born August 27, 1996) is an American track and field athlete. He is best known for running in the 400 metres hurdles race. In 2018, he won the USA Outdoor Championship. He also represented his country at the Athletics World Cup in London that same year, where he won a gold medal.

Kenny Selmon's Early Life
Kenny Selmon grew up in Mableton, GA. He went to high school at Pace Academy in Atlanta. Even in high school, Kenny was a very talented athlete.
High School Achievements
- He won seven state championships in track and field.
- He was named an All-American three times for the 400 metres hurdles.
- In 2013, he placed third at the World Youth Championships.
- In 2014, he won the National Championship.
College Track and Field Career
After high school, Kenny Selmon went to the University of North Carolina. There, he continued to compete in track and field. He ran both indoor and outdoor races.
Success at UNC
- Kenny won two ACC Championships in the 400 metres hurdles.
- He placed very high in the NCAA Division I National Championships. He finished 4th in 2016, 3rd in 2017, and 2nd in 2018.
- His fastest time in college was 48.12 seconds. This is the fastest 400m hurdles time in the history of UNC.
- In 2016, while still in college, Kenny competed in the Olympic Team Trials. He finished 7th in this big competition.
After graduating from UNC, Kenny achieved a major victory. He won the 2018 USATF Outdoor Championships in the 400 metres hurdles.
Professional Hurdles Career
After finishing college, Kenny Selmon became a professional athlete. He continued to represent the United States in major competitions.
International Wins
- In 2018, he competed in the London Athletics World Cup. He won the gold medal in the 400 metres hurdles.
