Kenny Joelle Tete (born 9 October 1995) is a professional footballer from the Netherlands. He plays as a right-back for the English club Fulham.

Kenny Tete's Football Journey
Starting at Ajax Academy
Kenny Tete was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He started playing football at a young age. In 2005, when he was 10 years old, he joined the famous Ajax Academy.
He played for the Ajax B1 team in the 2011–12 season. This team is the second-highest youth level at the academy. Kenny helped his team win the B-Juniors Eredivisie title.
In July 2012, Kenny signed his first professional contract with Ajax. He spent his first year as a professional playing for the Ajax A1 youth team. He then joined the first team for training in Austria.
Kenny played his first match for the senior Ajax team in a friendly game. This was on 29 June 2013 against SDC Putten. He came on as a substitute in the second half.
Professional Debut and Early Career
Kenny made his professional debut in the Eerste Divisie in August 2013. This is the second-highest football league in the Netherlands. He played for Jong Ajax, which is Ajax's reserve team. They won their first game against Telstar 2–0.
He made his official debut for the main Ajax team in February 2015. This was in a match against AZ Alkmaar. Kenny played 55 games for Ajax in total. He also helped them reach the Europa League Final in 2017.
Moving to Lyon

On 10 July 2017, Kenny Tete moved to the French club Lyon. He scored his first goal for Lyon in a 3–3 draw against Bordeaux. This happened on 19 August 2017 in the Ligue 1 league.
Kenny played 82 matches for Lyon over three years. He was an important player when Lyon reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in the 2019–20 season.
Joining Fulham
On 10 September 2020, Kenny Tete joined Premier League club Fulham. He signed a four-year contract with an option for an extra year. He was given the number 2 shirt.
Kenny made his first appearance for Fulham in a 1–0 win against Ipswich Town. This was in the EFL Cup second round. He scored his first goal for Fulham in a big 7–0 win against Reading on 11 January 2022.
In Fulham's first match of the 2022–23 Premier League season, Kenny helped his team. He set up the first goal in a 2–2 draw against Liverpool. He extended his contract with Fulham until 2028.
Playing for His Country
Youth National Teams
Kenny Tete started playing for the Netherlands national under-17 team in 2011. He played in a qualifying match for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship. The Dutch team won that game 3–0.
He also played for the Netherlands under-19 team in 2013. He played in all three group stage matches of the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
Senior National Team
In August 2015, Kenny Tete was called up to the senior Netherlands squad. He played his first game for the national team on 10 October against Kazakhstan.

Kenny Tete was born and grew up in Amsterdam. His father is from Mozambique and his mother is from Indonesia. Kenny's father, Miguel Tete, moved to the Netherlands when he was young. He is a former European heavyweight kickboxing champion.
