Kentland (also known as Kent Village) is a community in Prince George's County, Maryland, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county.
Kentland was once a "census-designated place" (CDP). A CDP is an area that the U.S. Census Bureau defines for counting people. It helps them collect information about populations. Kentland is part of the larger Landover area. You can easily get to Kentland using the Landover Metro Station, which is just north of the community.

About Kentland's History
For the 1990 U.S. Census, Kentland was counted as its own special area. Other nearby places like Landover, Dodge Park, and Palmer Park were also counted separately.
However, for the 2000 U.S. Census, these areas were grouped together. They formed a bigger area called the Greater Landover CDP. By the 2010 U.S. Census, this combined area was simply renamed the Landover CDP.
