Kevin Lawrence Alston (born May 5, 1988) is an American soccer player. He played as a defender. Kevin is known for his time with the New England Revolution and for overcoming a serious health challenge.

Playing for Clubs
Kevin Alston started his soccer journey playing college soccer. He played for the Indiana University Hoosiers. He was recognized as one of the best players in his conference.
New England Revolution
In 2009, Kevin was chosen by the New England Revolution in the MLS SuperDraft. This draft is where professional soccer teams pick new players. He made his first professional appearance on March 21, 2009. This was in the Revolution's first game of the 2009 MLS season.
In 2010, Kevin was picked for his first Major League Soccer All-Star Game. He even started the game against the famous team Manchester United. Kevin scored his first professional goal in the SuperLiga 2010 final. His team, the Revolution, lost that game 2–1. He scored his first league goal in Major League Soccer on April 12, 2014. This goal helped his team win 2–0 against the Houston Dynamo.
Orlando City
After the 2015 MLS season, Kevin's contract with New England ended. He was then chosen by Orlando City in the MLS Re-Entry Draft. He played for Orlando City for two seasons. He also played a few games on loan for Orlando City B.
Orange County SC
On June 8, 2018, Kevin joined United Soccer League team Orange County SC. He played for this team until 2021.
Playing for His Country
Kevin Alston was part of the U.S. Soccer's Residency Program. He played for the Under-17 National Team from 2003 to 2006. He played in many games for the U-17 team. This included three games at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru. He also represented the U.S. at the Pan American Games in Brazil in 2007.
In 2009, Kevin was called to train with the senior U.S. national team. This was a big step for him. However, he got a hamstring injury and could not play. He was called up again later but had to pull out due to the same injury. He has not yet played in a game for the senior national team.

Kevin Alston grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He went to Woodlin Elementary School. He studied management at Indiana University. He enjoys listening to hip-hop and R&B music. His favorite movies include Gladiator and Man on Fire. Kevin's grandfather, Richard K. Fox Jr., was a U.S. Ambassador.
In April 2013, Kevin announced he was taking a break from soccer. He needed treatment for chronic myelogenous leukemia. This is a rare but treatable form of leukemia. By July 2013, Kevin had recovered. He was able to return to playing soccer. His return to the field was a great comeback story.
