Kieran John Ault-Connell, born on July 30, 1981, is an amazing Australian Paralympic athlete. He was born in Melbourne, Australia. Kieran has cerebral palsy, a condition that affects movement and muscle coordination.

He became interested in athletics after watching the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics. This inspired him to pursue his own athletic dreams.

Early Achievements in Athletics

Kieran quickly showed his talent in track and field. In 1998, he competed at the IPC Athletics World Championships. This big event was held in Birmingham.

At these championships, Kieran won two bronze medals. He earned one in the javelin throw and another in the long jump. These early successes showed his potential.

Paralympic Games Success

Kieran's biggest moments came at the Paralympic Games. These are major international multi-sport events for athletes with disabilities.

Sydney 2000: Double Gold

The 2000 Summer Paralympics were held in Sydney, Australia. This was a home games for Kieran. He performed incredibly well, winning two gold medals.

He was part of the men's 4x100 meter relay T38 team. He also competed in the 4x400 meter relay T38 event. Both teams won gold medals. In doing so, they set new world records.
