Kirsi Hannele Sirén (born Viilonen; October 26, 1964 – December 3, 2005), known by her stage name Kikka, was a famous Finnish pop and schlager singer. She was born in Tampere, Finland.
Kikka's music career began in the late 1980s. She was inspired by successful international singers like Samantha Fox and Sabrina Salerno. Some people in the media even tried to call her the "Samantha Fox of Finland." Kikka became very popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During this time, she earned three platinum records and two gold records for her music, which means her albums sold a lot! Later in her career, Kikka faced some health issues. She passed away in Nokia on December 3, 2005, at the age of 41, due to a heart attack.
In 2022, a movie about Kikka's life was made. It is called Kikka! and was directed by the award-winning actress Anna Paavilainen. The story for the film was written by Maarit Nissilä. In the movie, Kikka is played by the actress Sara Melleri.
