Kilbourne's History
Kilbourne was not always called Kilbourne! When it was first settled, it had a different name: Eden.
The community was later named after James Kilbourne. He was a very important person in Ohio's history. James Kilbourne was a surveyor, which means he measured land. He helped map out many areas in Ohio.
A post office opened in Kilbourne in 1837. It served the community for many years, helping people send and receive mail. However, this post office closed in 2017.
