After that, she worked in a different role. From 1966 to 1969, she was a Deputy Director. This job was at the Puongyang Local General Bureau of Industry. This bureau helped manage factories and businesses in a specific area.

Later, Kim Pok-sin became a Minister. From 1971 to 1981, she was the Minister of Textile and Paper Manufacturing Industry. In this role, she was in charge of making fabrics and paper. These are important products for any country.
