Kim Ruff Moore grew up in Vidalia, Georgia. She is the fourth of seven children, with four sisters and two brothers. Even when she was young, Kim showed a lot of talent. She was named 'Most Talented' in high school. She also earned this award during her junior and senior years at Brewton Parker College.

Her Musical Journey

Kim Ruff Moore is a talented singer with a voice often compared to Whitney Houston. She sings in a style called mezzo-soprano. On June 26, 2009, Kim released her first solo album, Ready to Live. This album was a big success!

It was nominated for two awards at the Stellar Awards: New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Artist. Kim won the Fan Favorite award for New Artist of the Year. She wrote all the songs on the album and helped produce it too. People have compared her songwriting to Diane Warren because she creates music with simple, clear messages.

Kim Ruff Moore was married to Mack Ruff for 27 years. Sadly, he passed away. She later married Jeffery Moore, who is a music producer and gospel singer. Jeffery was also a member of the group The Soul Stirrers.

Together, Kim and Jeffery are a gospel singing duo called The New Consolers. Kim has a son named Spencer Carrington, who was born on November 3, 2001. Spencer is also a singer and songwriter. He even sang a duet with his mom on her album, called "Child of A King." Spencer is now working on his own first album.
