Kira Nicole Kosarin, born on October 7, 1997, is an American actress and singer. She is best known for playing Phoebe Thunderman in the Nickelodeon TV show The Thundermans. She released her first album, Off Brand, in 2019. Later, in 2022, she signed with Republic Records.

Early Life and Family
Kira Kosarin grew up loving dance and gymnastics. She studied ballet at the Boca Ballet Theatre. Her parents were both performers on Broadway, which is a famous theater area in New York City. Her mom was an actress, and her dad was a music director and producer. Because of this, Kira grew up acting, singing, and dancing.
In 2011, Kira decided to move to Los Angeles, California, to become an actress after taking a special workshop. Like many young performers, she went to Brighton Hall School. Kira's family has Ashkenazi Jewish roots, with ancestors from Eastern Europe.

Acting Roles
Kira Kosarin first appeared on TV in an episode of the Disney Channel show Shake It Up in 2012. In 2013, she became very famous for her role as Phoebe Thunderman in the Nickelodeon comedy The Thundermans. Phoebe is a superhero who tries to live a normal life.
Kira was nominated for a Kids' Choice Award for Favorite TV Actress in 2015 and 2016. Even though she didn't win those times, she and her castmates from The Thundermans won the award for Favorite TV Show in 2016.
She also starred in the Nickelodeon TV movie One Crazy Cruise, which came out in 2015. In 2019, Kira appeared in the second season of the Hulu horror series Light as a Feather, playing a character named Nadia.
In March 2023, Nickelodeon announced a Thundermans movie called The Thundermans Return. Kira and the original cast came back for the movie, and Kira also helped produce it. After the movie's success, a new series called The Thundermans: Undercover was announced in May 2024. Kira is returning as Phoebe and is also an executive producer for this new show. In 2025, she won her first Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Female TV Star (Kids) for her work on The Thundermans: Undercover.
Music Journey
Kira Kosarin also has a passion for music. She released her first song, "Spy," in March 2018. In January 2019, she released "Vinyl" along with a music video. She then released more songs like "Love Me Like You Hate Me" and "47 Hours."
Her first album, Off Brand, came out in April 2019. Kira also has a YouTube channel where she shares music covers and her own songs. In July 2020, she released an extended play (EP) called Songbird. In March 2022, Kira signed with Republic Records, a major music label. Her first song with them, "Mood Ring," was released on March 11, 2022.
