Early Life and Education
Kira Radinsky was born in Kiev, Ukraine. When she was four years old, she moved to Israel with her mother. She grew up in a town called Nesher. Her mother, who was a mathematician, worked very hard to support their family.
Military Service
From 2004 to 2007, Kira served in a special intelligence unit of the Israeli army called Unit 8200. She worked as a programmer, writing computer code. In 2006, she received the Israel Defense Prize as part of her team for their important work.

Predicting Cholera Outbreaks
One of her most famous achievements involved predicting a cholera outbreak in Cuba. This was the first time cholera had appeared there in 130 years! Kira's team used computers to look at 150 years of historical data. They found a pattern: in poor countries, if there was a flood within a year after a drought, a cholera outbreak often followed. This amazing prediction showed how powerful her methods are.
Starting Companies
While she was working on her Ph.D. (a very high university degree), Kira co-founded a company called SalesPredict. This company used similar ideas to her research, but with different computer programs. In 2016, a big online shopping company called eBay bought SalesPredict. Kira then worked at eBay Israel as a chief scientist and director of data science until 2019.
Leading Diagnostic Robotics
Since late 2021, Kira Radinsky has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Diagnostic Robotics in Tel Aviv. She co-founded this company in 2019. Diagnostic Robotics uses artificial intelligence to help people with their health.
Teaching and Research
Kira is also a visiting professor at the Technion university. She teaches students how to use predictive data mining in medicine. She has written more than 50 scientific articles and holds over 10 patents for her inventions.
