Kita, Tokyo facts for kids
Kita is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. Think of a special ward like a big city neighborhood that acts almost like its own small city. In 2015, about 285,321 people lived in Kita.
Kita Ward was created on March 15, 1947. It was formed by joining two older wards: Ōji and Takinogawa. This brought different areas together to make the Kita we know today.
