Kiyonobu Okajima was born in Mitaka, Japan, on June 30, 1971. He loved playing football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Chuo University, he started his professional career.
Starting with Urawa Reds
In 1994, Okajima joined Urawa Reds, a well-known football club. He got a chance to play in his very first season. However, in 1995, he didn't get to play in any matches.
Moving to Tokyo Gas
Because he wasn't playing much, Okajima decided to move clubs. In July 1995, he joined Tokyo Gas. This club was part of the Japan Football League at the time.
At Tokyo Gas, Okajima played many games. He was a key player as a defensive midfielder. This position helps protect the team's goal. He played for three seasons with Tokyo Gas. Okajima decided to retire from football at the end of the 1997 season.
