Kiyotaka Matsui (born January 4, 1961) is a former Japanese football player. He was a goalkeeper who played for the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs
Kiyotaka Matsui was born in Takatsuki, Osaka on January 4, 1961. After finishing his studies at Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences, he started his professional football career.
Early Career with NKK
In 1983, Matsui joined a team called Nippon Kokan, which later became known as NKK. He played as a goalkeeper for this club for many years. From 1985, his team did very well. They finished in second place in the Japan Soccer League for three years in a row. This showed they were one of the top teams in Japan.
In 1987, Matsui and NKK won the JSL Cup, which was a big achievement for the club. He played 170 games for NKK, showing how important he was to the team.
Moving to Shimizu S-Pulse
In 1992, Matsui moved to a new team called Shimizu S-Pulse. This was an exciting time because he joined the new J.League, which was Japan's top professional football league. He played for Shimizu S-Pulse until he retired from playing football in 1993.
