A Look at Its Past
The community of Knorpp has a bit of history tied to its name. In the late 1800s, a post office was opened there in 1890. This post office was important for people living in the area to send and receive mail. It was named after C. F. Knorpp, who was an early postmaster in the community. He was the person in charge of the post office, making sure letters and packages got to the right places. The post office served the community for many years before it closed down in 1914. Even though the post office is gone, the name Knorpp remains, reminding everyone of its origins.
