Kobi Libii is an American comedian, actor, writer, and director. He was born on January 20, 1980, in the United States. Kobi grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is known for his work on television shows like The Opposition with Jordan Klepper and Doubt. He also directed his first movie in 2024.
Early Life and Education
Kobi Libii went to Snider High School in Fort Wayne. After high school, he studied theater at Yale University. While at Yale, he was part of an improv group called Just Add Water. Improv comedy is when actors make up scenes and jokes on the spot, without a script. Kobi also studied improv at the Second City in Chicago, Illinois, which is a very famous comedy theater.
Career in Television and Film
Kobi Libii has appeared in many television shows. From 2017 to 2018, he was a cast member on The Opposition with Jordan Klepper. This show was a news satire series on Comedy Central, where comedians make fun of news programs. On the show, Kobi played a "citizen journalist," pretending to report on events. He also appeared in other popular TV series such as Transparent, Girls, and Madam Secretary. In 2019, he was on the show Klepper as himself and also worked as a writer for the show.
In 2024, Kobi Libii made his debut as a film director with his movie The American Society of Magical Negroes. This means it was the first movie he directed. He also helped write and produce the film. Before that, he acted in movies like We Broke Up (2021) and The Hater (2022).

Besides his work in TV and film, Kobi Libii has performed in several plays. In 2007, he co-created and performed in a play called Boiling Pot.
